1. When I returned home and unpacked, all of our clothes had the same moldy smell that was in the rooms.

Our room had been cleaned I am sure but there was peeling wallpaper, strings from clothing left on the carpet from previous travelers, mold on the windowsill above the ac unit, and a collection of hairspray film on the door facing in the bathroom, not to mention a wine bottle cork found under the bed and worn comforters.

10. There was clearly a roof leak at some point because you could see the mold pattern on one of the interior walls and it smelled like mold sometimes.
