7. bits of pink mold around edge of shower, mysterious splats and drips of grime on bathroom doors/walls, no liners in trashcans so you could see the residue of all the trash of all previous occupants- noisy.

8. Very bemused when I arrived by the hallucinatory decor - neon pastel colours, noisy music in lobby, and the room decor is just bizarre - but got used to all of that soon enough, and more than outweighed by the sheer niceness and can-do attitude of all of the hotel staff.

9. Things can get pretty lively on warm nights in the restaurant patio area, so a courtyard facing room on a low floor can be kind of noisy if your planning on a quiet night.
