2. It`s a good 15 minutes drive or more to downtown, and 15 minutes would take to go to the beach too.

3. Ended up paying $125 [without taxes] for a hotel room at the Double Tree Inn in Downtown San Diego [not walking distance from the Sports Arena (obviously)] instead of the $85 i had paid for the Groupon.

4. the hotel area was very close to the downtown which was important for me as my main goal is business from this trip and also it was close to some great attractions like sea world and other places.

I loved my stay at this hotel because there are over three walking distance shopping centers that are filled with everything a traveler may need, a bus stop located in front of the hotel that can take you anywhere for only $5(that is to and from San Diego airport, Sea World Downtown San Diego, etc), several 24-hour gyms that are in walking distance, lots of healthy places to eat that are across the street from the hotel, very affordable rates(I paid $80 each night), and most importantly: a safe, clean comfortable nights stay.
