1. It is a historic hotel in a nice residential neighborhood, near restaurants, and away from the I-8 (Mission Valley) where a lot of the motels are or downtown where parking is impossible or very expensive.

9. Positives: cheap price, pool, good bartenders, cool neighborhood with some good family restaurants and fun bars to visitNegatives: front desk, business center (only one out of two computers worked), shower would routinely alternate between scalding hot and freezing cold, maid service was inconsistent, jets did not work in the jacuzzi.

10. Still, for any guests unconcerned by mild noise levels, a bit of peeling paint here and there, and willing to walk a half-mile to the fun restaurants and bars of University Heighs and Hillcrest, you can`t beat it.
"More than acceptable for the low rate and location " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/14/2008 Vote
