We stayed here due to the high price of hotels
downtown
- and it didn't disappoint.

It is very close to the zoo and Balboa Park, and
downtown
(like Seaport Village), and about 15 minutes from Sea World and the beaches.

It is a historic hotel in a nice residential neighborhood, near restaurants, and away from the I-8 (Mission Valley) where a lot of the motels are or
downtown
where parking is impossible or very expensive.

Upon arrival, we found that it is not in a quaint part of
downtown
but a very commercial area.
