3. Love the out of the box ideas the hotel has like providing a goldfish for those who miss there pets, late checkout on Sundays, no parking fees for hybrid cars, etc. Kimpton hotels stand out from the rest.

4. This is not an inexpensive hotel in terms of room costs, so to charge that kind of a fee was really an insult.

5. If you do rent a car, there is a lot across the street from the hotel that charges a little less than the hotel parking fees.

6. There is a fee for the wi-fi access unless you sign up for their Kimpton rewards program for free, so I would highly recommend you do that.

8. Many downtown hotels charge for parking these days (kinda the hotel industry version of baggage fees, I suppose), but it really is a bummer - particularly when they don't even offer self parking.

9. Their statement that parking fees at $35/day are in line with fees throughout San Diego is not true; this hotel is not in New York city.

10. While I was eventually given an e-mail password to logon to the free wireless network, my laptop would frequently try to lock on the wireless service requiring a fee, since the free wireless was set to a weaker signal.
