3. drive to SD beaches, a mid to high-end malls just opposite the hotel, lots of restaurants nearby+ PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY STAFF ~ There were many families with kids (MANY!) at the hotel during our stay.

The Embassy Suites in La Jolla has alot going for it - good location between the 5 and 805 interstates for quick access to San Diego attractions and many restaurants, attractive appearance with a refurbished atrium, above average breakfast and evening manager's reception, clean rooms, friendly staff, BUT as other reviewers have noted, there are some drawbacks.
