1. The hotel is Santorini-esque with its blue and white exterior, beautiful manicured garden, pool and two decks overlooking the ocean.

2. Great location right on Sunset Cliffs, cheery blue and white exterior, beautiful flower gardens in the interior courtyard/pool area (kudos to the gardener!), spotless room (new beds would be nice, though; they're a bit, uhhh, noisy), friendly/helpful staff, excellent wifi.

4. The room was spacious, the hotel is right on the water so you can hear the waves crashing at night while in bed, the pool is beautiful and also, the sunset is breath taking.

8. It's hard to describe just what a perfect place this is - suffice to say that our plans to 'do things in San Diego' went out the window when we checked in, we just spent the whole of the next day in the pool and on the sun-lounges, watching the surf and marvelling at the magnificence of it all.
