1. We pretty much stayed at the Inn the entire time, except taking the short walk to the Point Loma Beach Cafe for breakfast and lunch, excellent, very reasonably priced food.

2. It's in a nice quiet area, away from the bars and crowds on Newport, but there is a store that has basics right across the street and a wonderful little cafe for breakfast or lunch almost next door.
