1. The cost of breakfast was reasonable.

2. The Cabrillo National Monument at Point Loma was a place that we went on our last day in San Diego, it cost $5 per vehicle and the pass was for 7 days, so it's too bad we didn't go there first and then just use the pass to go back for another time.

4. When I opened the door to the room (at the newer Casa Marina) the first words from my son's mouth was 'Wow, how much did you pay for this?' He's 18, we've stayed at other hotels (including the 'luxury' Millennium Biltmore in LA) that have cost more and this is the best room I've ever had.

6. The park across from the hotel has some very nice views of the San Diego skyline and if you book a room with a water view (costs a little extra but it is worth it) you can enjoy this view from your room.
