1. The scenery is better at the other two resorts because of their ocean-front setting, but this is an inland resort in the hills that is also just as beautiful.

2. 4) Location is OK, but it is 2-3 miles inland so if you are looking for semi-quick access to the ocean or a view, seabreeze scent :>), etc..

4. If you have a car (which I would be shocked if anybody used a taxi given prices and location), then it might be worth venturing out to the surrounding areas (La Jolla or Del Mar area --there is a restaurant called Flavor by the ocean and on a street with lots of cute shops/plaza stores).

5. The hotel is not actually in Del Mar but inland a little so no ocean view but the vistas are incredible and you are out of the fog and beach dampness so it was nice.
