Even at the conference rate of $219/night (which I noticed from the hotel's website happened to also be their standard rate) the room, once you factor in the cost of breakfast ($18/day/person - in our case $36/day) and internet ($15/day/person - in our case $30/day) (both of which features are free at the Hampton Inn, Comfort Suites, and LaQuinta Suites - which are the 3 hotels I happen to see right out of my Grand Hyatt hotel window right now) it's just not worth the hassle.

4. We chose this hotel over the older Hyatt because it was brand new had alot of amenities that suited us as we are used to hotels in the San Antonio area that we have stayed at before like The Emily Morgan and Hotel Valencia.

5. Additionally, the parking ticket pay machines inside the lobby were out of order so the whole check out process was very disorganized and did not suit a four star hotel.

6. If you are looking for a luxury bathroom, you might want to upgrade to suite or stay at another hotel with an upgraded bathroom.

7. We showed up on Saturday and the only room left (according to the Front Desk) was a suite without a bed.

9. As Diamond Gold Passport members, we were upgraded (without asking) to a 'Grand Suite,' which consisted of 2 connecting rooms, one of which had a bed, bathroom, lounge chair desk and TV, the other had a large Queen sofa bed, coffee table, full bathroom, desk and TV.
