1. Upon arrival, I was impressed to see a note to us from the general manager of the hotel expressing his wishes for us to have a comfortable stay and encouraging us to contact him directly if we had any issues or concerns (we didn't).

2. First front desk told me I needed to call back the next day since it was almost 5PM and talk to the restaurant manager between 9-4, that they have not been told.

Problem 1: I arrived at 11:30 a.m. and did the 'pre check-in' with an associate that wasn't an assistant manager (the manager took the whole weekend off and was unavailable) and she informed me that because their check-in wasn't until 4 pm that this was the best way to get into our rooms as quickly as possible.
