1. Instead, go 2-3 blocks down to the Marriott Riverwalk Hotel where we enjoyed wonderful amenities and the absolute best service I have received from hotel staff in a long, long time.

4. near the heart of San Antonio (4 blocks from the Alamo), and walking distance to the Hemisphere tower, River Walk (200 yards away), etc. Also, a very attentive staff with great amenities in the courtyard area including well kept pool and jacuzzi.

8. I don't understand why that is: if you are paying more up front, shouldn't the amenities be free?) In any case, the restaurant in this hotel is beyond awful: tasteless food, service that would be laughable if it weren't so frustrating.
