1. The ONLY thing this hotel has going for it is location--right across the street from the campus.
"Absolutely unequivocally avoid unless you really need the location--awful! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/29/2010 Vote
2. It's directly across the street from the university and within easy walking distance to many restaurants, coffee shops, wine shops, a movie theater, book stores, etc. The rooms are decent, clean and comfortable (be sure and ask for a room in the newly renovated area).
"Great location, comfortable, decent accomodations " Read full review on TripAdvisor   4/12/2010 Vote
3. But if you want to walk across the street to campus, nothing beats Nassau Inn.
"WYSIWYG " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/4/2010 Vote
4. Parking is across the street at the end of the block -- not great in the rain.
"Hotel is serviceable... definitely a great central location across from the University. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   11/3/2009 Vote
5. The streets are so narrow, that the trucks and trash trucks serving the Hotel and the neighboring businesses echo noisily between the buildings, especially when their back-up beepers are sounding.
"I will not stay here again " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/27/2009 Vote
6. Their rates were much lower and if you wanted to come into town and pay for parking at the Hulfish Street garage, you would be way ahead pricewise.
"I will not stay here again " Read full review on TripAdvisor   3/27/2009 Vote
7. It overlooked the narrow street where we entered the lobby.

8. The lobby is small and crowded, and the parking is down the street at the end of the block (they give you a pass with in-and-out priviledges, but you are still paying the full daily rate at the garage).
"Nothing to write home about " Read full review on TripAdvisor   8/9/2007 Vote
9. I further asked for a room not facing the street.
"Contempt for guests " Read full review on TripAdvisor   7/26/2007 Vote
10. Thus, I will not even elaborate on the facts that the room did face the street and simultaneously managed to look onto a roof, that the sheets on the uncomfortable beds were not covering the entire mattress and that the decor is too tasteless for a hotel trying to be decent.
