2. There's also a small, very good spa and sauna on the second floor- ask for a reservation time, as it's one couple or person at a time.

4. First thing you'll notice is the amazing location, on the Riverfront, on a great pedestrian/biking path, gorgeous view, great restaurants, the fantastic Oregon Athletic Club at RiverPlace (access included with hotel stay, they host a yoga class at the hotel, and you get a spa discount).

5. There is no on site fitness center so they offer free passes to the Riverplace Athletic Club a block away where spa services are also available.

6. The hotel was so convenient to town and the street car, and we took advantage of the services at the spa and fitness center, which were excellent.

7. The only potential minor annoyance for some people might be having to go offsite to the spa/pool supposedly close-by at an affiliated club, but as we had no plans to use it, it didn't matter to us.

Highlights include immaculate, quiet, elegant rooms with comfortable beds, free use of athletic club, free use of bikes (hotel is next to bike path and park), free use of jacuzzi / sauna by appointment, discount at spa on the promenade next to the waterfront, proximity to the free street trolley, and great food at the Three Degrees Restaurant.
