3. I enjoyed the cheerful, friendly service at the front desk, and I was happy with the large room, spacious bathroom, many conveniences--and the location, across the street from Reading Terminal, makes it possible to duck out of meetings for a great quick lunch.

The location of the Downtown Marriott is ideal, you are right next door to Reading Market Station - filled with great breakfast and lunch places (note, that most of the eating booths here close at 6pm), you are a block from City Hall, and in walking distance to Independence Hall and the Historic Section, the Museums, and dining.
