1. The hotel's location on Canal Street is excellent - just a short walk to the Jackson Square, the French Quarter, the French Market, Riverwalk Mall and Convention Center - everywhere that you need to go in New Orleans.

The room over looked the city streets, but was not noisy at all, and there was self parking right across a quiet little side street for just $14 a day, or you could opt for the 'garage' parking that was $20 a day, but the self parking across the street was easy and by far much more convienant for us.

7. The hotel is across the street from a pretty nice Harrah casino (better than Atlantic City, but not as flashy as Las Vegas), which has table games (blackjack, poker) and lots of slot machines.
