1. At least the Doubletree was decent enough to charge only half price in the light of the trouble I'd had.

2. Also, whoever is in charge of cleaning the 4th floor rooms don't do a very good job of cleaning, because for 2 days in a row, our rooms failed to be cleaned.

4. I truly thought such a high-profile chain would understand that this, for most travelers (especially mid-week) is more necessity than luxury, but if they just are not making enough money on the room rate to cover the added expense, I would much rather they hike the rate $10-15 per day instead of adding the charge like this.

5. The cold side of the breakfast buffet is included in the room charge, and there is a $5 upcharge to partake in the hot side of the breakfast buffet (eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, etc).

6. A valet finally showed up and we learned that there are only a couple of dozen on-site parking spots for this 16 story hotel, so the vast majority of guests have to use the valet off-site parking, which they charge $22 a day for.
