We were warned by friends to be careful on many of the
street
s, but staying at this hotel allowed us a very safe walk to and from the French Quarter and most of New Orleans area, even late at night.

But there is also is a pay-to-park lot across the
street
that is very convenient or valet parking, both about $25/day.
