We had a couple of issues with the hotel (our guaranteed King room was not available) and a couple of requests the front desk chose to ignore, but once we brought these to the attention of the General
Manager
he was very accommodating and left us with the sense that he really wanted to correct the issues with his staff.

manager
, the
manager
told us that there was nothing she could do and that the hotel had overbooked rooms that night and we would have to stay at another hotel because they didn't have any rooms available.

One morning the wait for breakfast was so long that the

finally appeared, apologetic, and gave us a couple breakfasts on the house.

This was probably the booking agent in the UK's fault rather than the hotel's however when I mentioned my frustration to an employee who happened to be the
manager
of the hotel's 19th floor private lounge, he immediately sorted it out - we were given a new room with an extra bed and invited to have dinner and wine in the lounge then when he found out it was my sister's birthday, he organised champagne and chocolate strawberries for later in the week.
"The attitude and genuine warmth of the staff made our trip "
