5. Pros: Beautiful views through spacious bay windows from each room in the tower (the tower is round so almost every room has a nice view); comfortable beds; appointed as you would expect a beautiful old hotel (two poster headboards on the bed, ornate mirrors, impressive window treatments, etc); friendly staff; great restaurant (Mason St Grill); close to lakefront, art museum, and summerfest grounds; convenient above ground parking (floors 2 through 6) accessible from the hotel elevatorCons: Due to the shape of the rooms, they are noisy as you tend to hear showers, plumbing, and sinks from adjacent rooms; bathrooms are nice (two room) but toilet/tub room is very small; two beds are full size, not queens; no free internet; .
"Grand Old Hotel, Comfortable Stay, A Bit Pricey " Read full review on TripAdvisor   2/20/2012 Vote
6. Our room was nice, but the bathroom was on the small side with a standard tub/shower combination and no fan in the bathroom.
"Beautiful hotel, great location. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/24/2012 Vote
7. My only complaints about this place is that it doesn't have a hot tub (get a hot-tub, people!) and the bed on the pull out couch was uncomfortable (real beds were fine).
"Elegant and friendly! " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/13/2012 Vote
8. What I think they could improve upon: The windows to our beautiful view were not very clean (this was a theme through out the hotel, including the 1st floor cafe), The bath tub/showers were normal run of the mill bath tub/showers, the tv was smaller than I expected for a 5 star hotel (21 inches), and the room had a musty/old smell (which I kind of expected since it is an older hotel).
"Nice Hotel " Read full review on TripAdvisor   9/10/2011 Vote
9. The bathroom was enormous, with a shower cubicle and large whirlpool tub.
"An amazing grand old hotel. " Read full review on TripAdvisor   5/26/2009 Vote
