The rooms are of course newer and somewhat bigger, but the mix now has many more rooms with basic cooking amenities if you cant grapple with going out into Hollywood Boulevard nearby: and nearby it is, 3/400 yds, but luckily you cant see or hear it as the hotel faces the Hollywood Hills ( see my pic of yet another sunrise in Paradise from the top floor of the hotel)As ever the day starts with a wonderful breakfast provided by the hotel and then that room is closed for the rest of the day.

5. Our room was in a corner of the building and was a few steps from all the amenities and I felt safe letting my 12 and 9 year old daughters run out to breakfast alone to grab a bite in the morning while I finished getting ready.

6. We were on the 4th floor which was THE BEST, get a room there if you can because all the amenities are there - business center, pool and FREE breakfast buffet.
