1. The hotel is actually pretty ok, with efficient yet not overly friendly staff, and ok rooms, comfy bed etc. Shame that the experience could have been great but ended up being average, and the general manager (who is quite active on here and seems to welcome guest feedback) ignored my efforts to discuss my experience with him.

2. Funny how it worked fine in the bar area though!(A footnote to this - I raised this issue with the staff on my return to the UK, and had a very nice response from the Hotel Manager offering his apologies and a free upgrade next time, which seems very fair).

3. My car's battery died in the Palomar garage the third night I was there (hybrids park for free), and the manager took over, handling the problem (which, with a hybrid, is not as simple as a basic jump) and even paying my cab fare out to the restaurant where I was heading.

4. First of all when we arrived they charged our credit card way more than we were supposed to be charged and they waited the next day to refund the card without the slightest sympathy, then we had a situation with our room and instead of trying to help us all they had to say was 'there's nothing we can do,' so I decided to speak to a manager (I think his name was Hami) and of course all he had to say was 'there's nothing we can do' so I spoke to another manager (Victor) and his response was.

9. Room service came from the restaurant when it was open, but I asked for breakfast before dawn to catch an early flight and the quality was terrible -- the manager agreed it wasn't up to their standard and took it off the bill, but I would recommend only order room service during the hours the restaurant kitchen is open.
