1. So if you were thinking of street parking, forget it, it is not worth the hassle (except for on Sunday), and add another $30/night to the cost of your stay at the Palomar.

6. If you are going by cab from the hotel which we mostly did the cost one way are: Paul Getty Museum $30, Griffith Park Observatory $55, LACMA $25, Downtown Olvera St $70.
