Great service from all members of staff, spacious room with quirky fun decor, balcony which overlooked the water (although obstructed by trees so be careful to check that out), lovely pool area right next to the sea, efficient valet parking, great location at the end of Duval Street - an ideal base for doing some exploring on foot.

4. There is compulsory valet parking, but you really don't need a car in Key West - so we just dropped out car at the Hertz at the airport when we arrived, and picked up another one when we left.

5. The valet parking in my opinion for Key West is a plus as parking is tight and it is nice to have someone park your vehicle for you.

6. A couple of unexpected things: the housekeeping staff is a bit overzealous; they not only come to the room in the morning to clean, they also come back in the late afternoon to ensure the guest doesn't need towels and if you don't answer the door, they walk in; and the valet parking is not an option (there is a per day cost plus tax).
