Upon checking-in around 9:00PM to this concept hotel, the young man at the front desk enthusiastically upgraded me from my 'Petite King' to the huge, posh SoHo Theme Suite as it happened to be available for that one night I was staying (he mentioned repeatedly that this was probably the best upgrade he'd ever seen).

3. ) When we were checking in we decided to upgrade to a suite (the Fantastico suite) and there was no problem doing that - prompt and polite front desk staff.

4. I called the front desk and told them we needed a larger suite and they offered up the Warwick Apartment, 2,000 square feet for $600 per night (the normal fee is 2.5K per night).

5. I would call the front desk the day of arrival and see if any of those suites (especially the Warwick, Black Label or Tycoon as all three of those are breathtaking).
