6. I think the rate via hotwire was very good (currently $68, or about $85 after tax and fees) but do expect when a hotel is marketed with a pool, that it has a pool in functioning order.

8. My only real complaint was that during our stay the outside temperature was 93 degrees, and the pool has still not been opened.
