1. We do like the Marriott chain and have had better luck staying at the Courtyard Marriott down the street.

2. The only negative thing I can say is the restaurant on site is expensive, there are plenty of cheaper eats down the street.

3. The NASCAR Hall of Fame was very nice, even though we aren't racing fans, and we found a beautiful park down the street with many interesting modern sculptures.

6. Normally, even that wouldn't have been an issue, but a bike race had blocked the streets around the hotel and it took 30 mins to get to the alternative parking the hotel staff suggested (on the backside of the hotel).

7. But my room faced Trade Street, which seemed inordinately busy and is obviously a main route for police cars, ambulances, and fire trucks.

10. Despite being a paid guest, I came back to the hotel and was told there was no Valet or Underground Parking Available due to events going on at the Hotel and I would have to Park DOWN the street.
