We ate in the restaurant / bar and sat outside on the
patio
which was great as they have table heaters and the view is straight across the water to the financial district.

Spent three whirlwind hours walking the Freedom trail and eating in a delicious Italian place in the North End and still got back to the hotel to enjoy a spectacular sunset at the
patio
bar/restaurant.

There is a nice
patio
area outside where you can dine or have a drink with a great view (at night the staff light candles & lanterns & its quite lovely) - but the indoor bar area was a dissapointment, not inviting & not a place to linger.
