1. The only hitch we ran into was some confusion with the concierge, who although very helpful, had some outdated taxi tariff info when we tried to find out how much it would cost to get to a suburb of Boston to visit friends.

4. - Unlike other Boston 4 -5 star or boutique hotels in the same cost range, there's no morning coffee or tea ($3.00 for a small cup), and no coffemaker in the room either.

5. The InterContinental originally refused to refund our 2nd night, let alone offer complimentary parking or a brunch (which would have been a gracious thing that would cost them nothing).

7. It's not cheap - we got a good deal for a 3 day break averaging around $300 a night (but the actual cost of Monday was over $500, which is normal for the hotel.
