4. It is worth it but insist on a view of the strip of a comped breakfast or something extra because even tho the Tower rooms are clean and decent-if you have stayed at the Golden Nugget downtown or on the strip you will feel like you got ripped.

5. This April 2012 trip I arrived at 1 a.m. Sunday morning and there were no Courtyard rooms left so we were placed on the 7th floor of the Tower facing downtown.

6. On the plus side, staff we encountered were very friendly; it is a quieter location away but not far from the strip and the higher tower floors afford a lovely view of either the strip or downtown/mountains.
