1. The wifi is free, there's coffee in the lobby for free in the morning, and they have some very affordable rates.

2. It was 2 am and we were exhausted from traveling so I asked the person working the front at the time if there was anything he can do for us, maybe give us a better rate on a normal room since the night was already over.

3. The night ended well, we went to the Sheraton right down the street from the Texas State Capitol with a great view of it from the window and the night manager on duty gave us half off their normal rate, for the duration of 3 nights.

5. Now, mind you, I paid a pretty little premium to upgrade my space (from $195, my rate jumped to $330), but for me, being a big snob, it was totally worth it.

9. I'd probably stay again, but it's more of a party hotel than a long-term kind of place, and for the rates you pay, you might as well be closer to downtown & have something included in your stay.
