1. Walking in the neighborhood at night seemed safe, both alone and together, but as with any big city, it's best to take precautions.

5. The neighborhood definitely has some personality (there seems to be some sort of community shelter across the street) but my girlfriend and I were never once bothered by anyone on the street.
