1. With little of the hotel explored since arrival we had not seen any dining area and soon found out that the breakfast was served in a paper bag, consisting of a mini-muffin, some fruit and a frube and 'can be eaten in the library or your room' What a great range of options we thought before leaving to find a nice cafe.

Hotel Metropolis was conveniently located for the John Mellencamp concert at the Warfield we attended on Saturday night, and the performance of Rain (a Beatles Tribute) that we attended at the Orpheum on Sunday afternoon, as well as for John's Grill for Saturday dinner and Lori's Diner for Sunday breakfast.
