1. It's close to everything Union Square and the neighbouring BART, there is a great bar nearby called Cantina that makes a great ginger cocktail called the Flying Buddha, if you want a free hot dog with your beer visit the White Horse on Sutter, and for terrible and overpriced Japanese food you're welcome to visit Maru Sushi on Powell St.

6. However staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful and the lack of a restaurant (other than the formal Masa's) was easily overcome due to the location (Roxanne's Cafe just across the road does some good food).
