1. On the plus side, I was upgraded to a 2-bedroom suite which was nice, but it's not the cleanest or quietest place to stay.

6. I hadn't stayed in a Best Western for years, but the folks on the phone were nice and The Hotel California had a 2-bedroom suite (1 queen to which they could add a cot and 1 king) that we could afford at less than $200 per night, including breakfast.

7. There was no shortage of rooms, but it seems that most hotel rooms in San Francisco that have 2 beds are too small to hold a cot, and most hotel suites are unaffordable for a family vacation.
