1. No parking around the hotel but had a valet parking which was excellent.

The place shows its age but the price was right ($119/nite and $31 for valet parking), the service was friendly, the beds were comfortable (we had a funny little corner room with tall twin beds) and it was clean enough, although there was hair (not ours) on the floor in the bath - always a yuck for me.

10. Even including the valet parking charge (which I thought was high but which I later found out was the same price we would have paid had we parked in a garage ourselves), we paid about $100 per night, and the Powell was worth every penny.
