There is a coffee shop right at the front of the hotel if you want more coffee and they sell bagels etcAll in all, if you are in San Francisco for a short trip/passing through and you know that you are not spending very much time in your hotel I would absolutely
recommend
the Powell Hotel.

There is no restaurant or jacuzzi at this hotel, but there is a small shop on the Powell street side that sold coffee, snacks, ice cream etc.I would definitely
recommend
this hotel for those who like to be right in the heart of the city.

The next closest area would be the grass around City Hall (McAllister and Larkin) but you are walking through the Tenderloin district where there are many homeless - I wouldn't
recommend
it later at night.

If you're realistic in your expectations and don't plan to spend hours (or days) in your room then I'd
recommend
The Powell Hotel as a great base to explore San Francisco.
