4. After a wonderful week in the sister property, Suites at Fisherman's Wharf, Hurricane Irene cancelled my return flight to NJ and the wonderful staff at SFW went out of their way to arrange a room at the Inn at the Opera at a discounted rate of $129 per night.

5. At the room rate we paid, and as Opera goers we were supposedly receiving a discount, I would have said that the hotel was a little on the expensive side for what we received but I have no knowledge of San Francisco rates generally.

6. I can recommend The Majestic, but not the Inn at the Opera, as they apparently cannot guarantee that you will be able to stay there, even with a guaranteed rate booked well in advance.

8. Included in the rate was a continental breakfast, which is served in the restaurant area and it includes juices, milk, cereals, pastries, hard boiled eggs, yogurt and fresh fruit.
