3. I used to own a SF deli back in the '80s and went to the opera frequently; I stayed at the IATO several times and loved it, very fond memories of the piano bar, ambiance, and rooms.

5. The area is quiet after around 10pm though; if you're looking for nightlife, you'll have to travel to other areas as there were only a handful of small bars in the area.

The bathroom had a stand-alone sink w/a narrow glass shelf above, which made using the sink difficult for washing the face, a hair dryer & night light, complimentary toiletries, towels for 2, shower/tub w/2 bars for aiding balance, & enough towel racks for all our towels, though the bath towel racks blocked access to the glass shelf.
