4. I always found a space for my car in the hotel's parking garage and even if it is full there is a sister Best Western hotel with a large parking garage across the street and the parking fee is reasonable.

Lovely large Victorian parlor rooms, excellent beds, extended Continental breakfast served to the room at the time you designate, robes, free shuttle to and from Union Square, covered parking, refrigerators and coffee makers, hi-speed internet and they were just installing new safes when we left.

7. Not your boring brown bedding, etc. We picked it for the location and I enjoyed the cheaper parking ($20 instead of the $42 we normally pay).
