3. There are decent restaurants nearby (check out Lefty O'Doul's if you just want a beer and a quick bite, but there are high-end options as well) or you can easily walk to Union Square.

4. Yes, of course there is street noise, sirens etc. this IS a major city after all and the up-side is that you are close to all the great restaurants, pubs, entertainments and transit to all over San Fran, including BART to the airport.

6. (Do your research on how to park at BART so you dont get a fine)The location was STELLAR for going to indian restaurants, thai restaurants, breakfasts, chinatown and the clubs are REALLY CLOSE.

They also show old movies in a charming little theater, though you won't have time to watch them--the hotel is conveniently located near everything in downtown San Francisco--two blocks to Market Street, three to Powell for a cable car, about the same for Union Square, not to mention many restaurants and all kinds of transportation.

8. On one side of the hotel are many restaurants and shops, Market Street, BART, etc. On the other side, and right up to the hotel, are drunks and drug addicts.
