1. Also a window that looks directly into the window of a room in the next hotel over(who had much better tv channels) and a view into the windows of the restaurant below.

7. In exchange for a good location and a reasonable price (for San Francisco), be prepared for dingy hallways, small rooms, minuscule bathrooms and fire-escape views.

8. Upon entering the room, we found it to be quite small, particularly the bathroom, and the window had no view to speak of.

Our room had 'zero' view: airshaft which amplified street sounds, but was almost by design: we avoided window on street by recommendation for that very reason and generally our room was reasonably quiet at night: only serious problem was Tuesday (trash removal day) the rumbling and slamming of cash bins at 3 a.m. would wake the dead.
