1. I work in the hotel industry so when I come across a team that takes care of its guests whether they are paying full rate or like me a discounted employee rate I want to make sure they are recognized.

3. If you have a car, the parking garage is on Varick street (only a block from the hotel), and I think there is a discount if the parking ticket is validated by the hotel.

5. Jay was helpful both on the phone and in person, the room was clean and was larger than normal for a Manhattan hotel (with a clear view of the Empire State Building), they gave me a military discount, and the location cannot be beat.

7. We took the train in so didn't need parking, but I think they had a deal with a local garage to park at a discounted rate.

We arrived well before our check-in time and although our room was not yet ready, the front desk staff made us feel welcome by allowing us to check our bags free of charge, help ourselves to beverages, use restrooms, etc. Parking was offered at a discounted rate ($35) a few blocks away, just be sure to have the front desk stamp the ticket given to you at the garage.
