That is a big plus - I do not understand why other hotels charge for such services, as this only annoys the guests (I do not care if I pay a dollar or two more per night - but I do care if I spend a four digit number for my stay and then have to pay an additional fee of a couple of dollars to get my baggage stored after check-out).

5. With check-out time at noon and check-in at 3:00, you would assume that this is the 'window' in which housekeeping efforts to do their work.

6. Not a huge deal but I was puzzled when, on check-out day after receiving notice that my flight was delayed, I was only granted a one hour extension when I requested a late check-out.

The Hampton Inn standard is a very very good one: friendly service, fast check-in and check-out, clean rooms, comfortable bed, included internet, breakfast with plenty of choices, gym, etc. The room was on the medium-small size, but big enough for 2 people with luggage and by NYC standards, it was spacious.
