1. Pros: great location near subway stops, markets, wine store and restaurants; very friendly and helpful staff; the breakfast has a small number of choices (cereal, bagels, apples, waffles on weekends) but its fast and free and staff was very welcoming; clean rooms that are a decent size.

7. Breakfast, consisting of pastries, bagels, cereals, juice, some fresh fruit, such as bananas, is often welcome, but life as we know it isn't over if we don't partake, leaving us free to go to Zabar's (a MUST visit EVERY SINGLE TIME -- trust me on this!), either the cafe, or the amazing food store, and upstairs for every kitchen utensil known to man is worth it, too.

9. -QUIET - I'm sure being on the 14th floor helped, but no issues of street noise-Hotel employees - every single interaction was great, from the nice man from housekeeping who brought us robes to the helpful people at the front desk (one man spent a good 5-10 minutes helping me to identify a great restaurant that I'd forgotten the name of (Celeste - on Amsterdam - yum!) and the super nice guy in the breakfast room.
"A wonderful find " Read full review on TripAdvisor   1/26/2012 Vote
10. -FREE Wi-fi (say no more) - this is NOT a given in NYC-FREE continental breakfast (standard hotel continental breakfast fare, no better, no worse than other places) - this is also NOT a given in NYC-Two flat screen TVs in suite (didn't use them too much - there are better things to do in NYC)-Room was very clean and nicely decorated.
