1. When we decided we last minute we wanted to go see the whales, the concierge called around until he found somewhere that could get us in, when a beggar bothered us while outside smoking (it happens downtown in big cities) the valet/doorman immediately ran him off.

8. I also appreciated chocolates at turndown, free choice of Seattle Times/NYTimes in the morning, coffee with french press in the room, great huuuuge bathroom, excellent location downtown close to museum, pike place market, ferries and countless swanky hotel bars.

Upon entering our Grand Luxe Parlor Suite with a view of Downtown Seattle (gorgeous and worth every penny in every single square inch of that 575 square foot room!), I was surprisingly stunned and even more ecstatic to find red rose petals intricately placed all over the lovely king sized bed, a bottle of champagne, strawberries, and a letter from the hotel addressed to 'Mr.
