1. The bathroom was excellent except for the towels, they were well past there expiration, sort of like drying off with sand paper.

Every time we went to our room to get ready for dinner it smelled fresh, everything was clean, the powdered sugar all over the floor from our nightly beignets vacuumed, loads of fresh towels in the bathroom, coffee and cups restocked, etc. Even with a balcony room facing the corner of Dauphine and Bienville and being able to see Boubon from our balcony, the minute we closed our balcony door, the noise was virtually blocked out.

I have stayed at this Hotel a couple of times and my biggest complaint is that the Housekeeping people never honor my 'do not disturb sign' they started knocking on my door at 10:00am New Years day, obviously I had been out late New Years eve and had consumed a 'few' cocktails and was not in the mood when they started 'disturbing' me, I told the lady that I did not need service, I hang my towels up after using so I certainly do not need my room cleaned every day, this continued through out my stay.

10. We looked out of our top floor window and saw fire tenders with flashing lights in the street below, and with no communication from the staff, I told my wife to place towels at the doorway while I groped my way downstairs in pitch darkness and if she saw anything to shout from the window.
