We went with 2 other couples, all of which enjoyed their stay, and every night after a nice
dinner
nearby we'd sit poolside in the courtyard with a drink and just relax on the chaise lounges and listen to the music they had playing.

We ate a great, resonably priced

at the Bourbon street restaurant.

after midnight and it was excellent.

One night our kids were a bit bored after an early
dinner
, and they really went out of their way to offer suggestions and look for information.

The place otherwise looked nice, but I walked into my room after
dinner
and saw a large cockroach, about 4-5 inches long, on the wall and immediately went down to tell the staff to take care of it.

We realize people are encouraged to go out for
dinner
but after a long day of site seeing and eating out it would be nice to have some light fare in the hotel at night if possible.

Last year they mentioned this was because due to Katrina their staffing levels are not sufficient to staff it for lunch and
dinner

This doesn't matter at all to me because I am usually not up early enough at hotels for breakfast and even if they offered lunch and
dinner
, I would much rather eat the food at the local restaurants.
